"My son, had challenges with reading and his test scores were suffering. We are living in a highly competitive world and I wanted to make sure my son can compete. I was referred to Mindsprout Tutoring through my mother who is an elementary school teacher. I got in touch with Mrs. Johnson, the tutor and we spent more than an hour discussing the challenges my son was facing with reading. My also spent about an hour with the Executive Director of Mindsprout doing some assessment exercises. From those initial meetings they were able to taylor a tutoring regimen that was specific to my sons needs. After three months I have seen a difference in my sons approach and attitude towards reading. He is able to complete his assignments more independently and is comprehending what he reads better. Mindsprout tutoring has been a godsend. My son was recently diagnosed with dyslexia. We struggled to obtain appropriate evidence based reading intervention through the Howard county public school system. After reaching out to Mrs. Edwards, she was able to secure Ms. Rachel, an Orton-Gillingham certified special education teacher. She has worked very well with my son and provides regular feedback regarding how he is progressing.
Even with COVID19 related school closing Mindsprout stepped in, and we were able to get OG instruction 4 days a week at a very reasonable rate. We remain very thankful for the instruction Ms. Rachel has provided. It has made a tremendous difference in his reading.

Mindsprout Tutoring is a wonderful tutoring service. My daughter is a student who always worked hard and received A's and B's. So naturally when she received a C in math we were concerned. This is when we went to Mindsprout Tutoring. After working with the services she went from a C in math to a B in just one marking quarter. Of course, we were excited and very pleased with the quick advance. The tutors are well known teachers and are very knowledgeable. Since being with you all starting in December, **** has improved drastically. He has so much more confidence now as he reads at home and in school. He raises his hand to volunteer to read in class.
